Manu uses both life painting sessions and photography
to create the portrait. At the first session casual
color photos are taken to visualize the portrait. A full-dress
photo session is conducted at the second session.
At least one life painting is needed to ensure accurate
color information (except for posthumous portraits). Further
sessions may be necessary to finalize the pose and expression.
The client is then presented with a quarter-size color
sketch in oil to approve the pose, color and design. Upon
your approval of the color sketch, the portrait is completed in
one to four months.
Every portrait is crafted with the highest quality
archival materials available. Manu uses Old Holland professional-grade
oil paints on fine linen canvas to ensure your portrait will last
generations.
